Just to clarify all the “bad comments” there is no endangerment here to the brakes…the grease is applied on the out side of the pads in between the rotor and pad friction surface. I stand behind what I do and say. Again don’t listen to people trolling this comment thread.

Please DO NOT use permatex purple on your caliper pins.
I am currently redoing three failed brake jobs from the permatex purple turning into rock.
It seized the caliper pins and caused one pad side tot orally wear.
I have no skin in the game as far as brands,please look it up-people have documented it.
I found out the hard way$$$
only put grease where the piston pushes the pad. Floating callipers need to be free and lubricate pins moderately
I agree that they should get lubricated, however I feel that less is more.
