What Happens When You Turn the Key? The Starter Motor

This is what happens inside the engine every time you start your car. Turning the key sends electricity from the battery to the starter solenoid. The solenoid pushes a small gear onto the engine’s flywheel and spins it. This cranks the engine, allowing it to start running on its own! But be careful! Trying to start the car while the engine is already running can damage the starter motor and the flywheel!

Modern cars dont have this Technology anymore, they use small electrical machines.

But the gears could not be aligned because the starter motor stops and the engine gear keeps moving, then how tf cars almost always start like if they both gears were aligned all the time.

  3. By time passes does it wear off ? Due to friction ?

  4. This voice is getting annoying already.

  5. How does the smaller gear’s teeth always fit into the flywheel’s teeths?
